		<description>Aha, so you&#039;ve looked far more closely at the list than I have. I guess it&#039;s just that any omissions (comparing with other similar recent announcements) are interesting given the list&#039;s length and apparent comprehensiveness.</description>

Why is it surprising that OpenID wasn&#039;t mentioned?  IBM&#039;s pledge also didn&#039;t mention CardSpace, Liberty, or Shibboleth.  Did you expect IBM to discriminate and only offer the pledge to OpenID development?</description>
