Class. Our ex cat regularly managed a subtle variant on the 'disappear for two days' ploy. He used to disappear any time there were signs that we were packing. Either that or sit in the suitcase you're trying to pack.

Anyhow, he vanished just as we were leaving for the weekend once. We had warned the friendly neighbour (where he usually spent his weekends anyway...), so we were confident he wasn't going to starve.

When we got back, we found that he'd been hiding in the bedroom. Over the two days, he'd eaten a pot of wallpaper paste and (don't ask) the candy flowers off a christening cake, shredded a box of tissues and done predictably unspeakable things smack in the middle of the duvet.

His diary must have been quite a read that week.

Clearly little Boots here is up to his ass in alligators, and that particular B-priority item had to be pushed out until the week of April 17.

I don't see 'Lick myself on the pretense of grooming' , surely that would warrant an entry? Maybe that's just 'free time'.
